Afderm MN Plus Cream belongs to the class of dermatological medications, primarily used to treat bacterial and fungal skin infections. Skin infection occurs when foreign microorganisms like fungi or bacteria invade the skin and affect the tissues.

Afderm MN Plus Cream consists of Miconazole nitrate, Mometasone furoate, and Nadifloxacin. Miconazole nitrate stops the growth of fungi by causing damage to the fungal cell membrane. Mometasone furoate inhibits the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. Nadifloxacin works by interfering with the bacterial enzyme that repairs and replicates bacteria's DNA (genetic material).

Use Afderm MN Plus Cream as advised. Common side effects of Afderm MN Plus Cream include dry skin, burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the application site. These side effects usually do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist longer, please seek medical help.

Do not use topical Afderm MN Plus Cream on open wounds, blisters and lesions. Afderm MN Plus Cream treats skin infections by killing and preventing the growth of microbes. Afderm MN Plus Cream is composed of Miconazole nitrate, Mometasone furoate, and Nadifloxacin. Miconazole nitrate is an antifungal agent that stops the growth of fungi by causing damage and leakage to the fungal cell membrane. Mometasone furoate is a corticosteroid. It blocks prostaglandins production (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen, and itchy. Nadifloxacin is an antibacterial drug that prevents the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Let your doctor know if you have a history of liver/kidney diseases or allergic reactions to medicines before starting Afderm MN Plus Cream. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should use Afderm MN Plus Cream with proper consultation and caution. Do not use Afderm MN Plus Cream on the face and avoid contact with the eyes, nose and throat. Rinse it off with water thoroughly if contact occurs. Do not put a bandage or a dressing on the affected area while using Afderm MN Plus Cream unless advised by the doctor.

• In wet places such as changing rooms and gym showers, do not walk barefoot. Use footwear to prevent fungal infections.

• Eat foods rich in quercetin (a flavonoid), such as apples, cherries, broccoli, spinach, and blueberries.
• Consuming foods rich in probiotics helps develop the immune system against allergies.
• Limit intake of food that might trigger allergies, such as dairy products, soy, eggs, and nuts.
• Avoid consuming foods with excess sugar as it may flare up inflammation.
• Include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats, and fish in your diet.
• Avoiding getting in contact with harsh soaps, detergents, and rough fabrics.
