About Dilevocet Plus Tablet

Dilevocet Plus Tablet is a respiratory medication used to treat common cold symptoms, such as sneezing, runny nose, nasal and sinus congestion, stuffy nose or watery eyes. The common cold is a respiratory illness that affects nose and throat and is caused by viruses known as 'rhinoviruses'. The virus enters the body through nose, mouth or eyes and spreads easily through air droplets when a sick person sneezes, coughs or talks.

Dilevocet Plus Tablet consists of three medicines, namely: Levocetirizine,  Pseudoephedrine, and Ambroxol. Levocetirizine is an antihistamine (anti-allergic) drug that reduces the effects of histamine, a chemical substance that causes allergies like runny nose and skin rash. Pseudoephedrine belongs to the class of decongestant drugs that works by reducing the swelling of blood vessels in your nose. This helps mucus and airflow more freely in the cavities in your nose (sinuses), helping you breathe more easily. Ambroxol is a mucolytic agent that works by thinning and loosening phlegm (mucus) in lungs, windpipe and nose.

Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of the course based on the severity of your infection. Do not stop taking Dilevocet Plus Tablet on your own until the doctor advised you to do so.
