About Dilgel 2% Gel
Dilgel 2% Gel is used to promote the healing of the incision in the skin of the anus (anal fissure) and reduce the symptoms of pain caused by the incision. An anal fissure is an incision in the anus or anal canal lining. The sign of an anal fissure is pain during or after a bowel movement.
Dilgel 2% Gel contains diltiazem which works by relaxing the muscle around the anus (anal sphincter), reducing anal pressure and increasing blood flow to the area for healing.
In some cases, Dilgel 2% Gel may cause side effects like application site reactions (burning sensation, itching), headache, and dizziness. These side effects are not familiar to everyone and vary individually. If you notice any side effects that are not manageable, please consult your doctor.
Inform your doctor if you have had an allergic reaction to any of the ingredients of Dilgel 2% Gel. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Dilgel 2% Gel may cause light-headedness or dizziness; hence, it is recommended not to drive or operate machinery until you are mentally alert. Dilgel 2% Gel is for external use only.
