About Duocin 250 mg Tablet

Duocin 250 mg Tablet belongs to a class of medication called antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections of the urinary tract, blood, bones, joints, heart, lungs, brain, chest, ears, skin, or soft tissues. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. Duocin 250 mg Tablet does not work against infections caused by the virus.

Duocin 250 mg Tablet contains Cefuroxime (antibiotic) and Lactobacillus (probiotic). Cefuroxime works by interfering with the formation of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) necessary for survival. Thereby damaging the bacterial cell wall and killing bacteria. Lactobacillus helps to restore good bacteria in the intestines. Thereby, it prevents diarrhoea and loss of beneficial bacteria due to the prolonged intake of antibiotics.
