Fluanxol Depot 40 mg Injection 2 ml contains Flupentixol which works by inhibiting the dopamine (chemical messenger) receptors in the brain. Dopamine is involved in regulating mood, behaviour, and emotions. Thereby, Fluanxol Depot 40 mg Injection 2 ml helps in controlling psychotic illness by preventing the overactivity of dopamine in the brain. Thus, it helps in improving feelings, disturbing thoughts, and behaviour.

Fluanxol Depot 40 mg Injection 2 ml will be administered by a healthcare professional; do not self-administer. Some people may experience dry mouth, drowsiness, rigidity of the whole body, muscle spasms, headache, changes in weight, dizziness, insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), nervousness, or depression. Most of these side effects of Fluanxol Depot 40 mg Injection 2 ml do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

• Do regular exercise and maintain a healthy body weight.
• Maintain a diet rich in fruits, vegetables and whole grains. 
• Follow a regular sleep pattern. Do not take a nap during day time. 
• Avoid watching tv, using mobiles or laptops just before bedtime.
• Avoid consumption of alcohol as it may increase drowsiness.
