About Flucos Itz-200mg Tablet

Flucos Itz-200mg Tablet belongs to a class of drugs called antifungals used to treat fungal infections of the mouth, throat, toenails, fingernails or lungs. Fungal infection is a disease in which a fungus attacks the tissue and causes infection. Fungal infections may be contagious (spread from one person to another).

Flucos Itz-200mg Tablet contains Itraconazole, an antifungal that works by inhibiting the production of ergosterol (a main component of cell membranes of fungi). Thereby, weakens and damages the fungal cell membranes that are essential for their survival as they prevent the entry of unwanted substances into the cells and stop the leakage of cell contents. Thus, causes the main components of fungal cells to leak out and kill fungi and clear the fungal infection.

Take Flucos Itz-200mg Tablet as prescribed. Your doctor will advise you on how often you take Flucos Itz-200mg Tablet based on your medical condition. Some people may experience nausea, headache, diarrhoea, tiredness, cough, cold, throat pain, back pain and stomach pain. Most of these side effects of Flucos Itz-200mg Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are known to be allergic to Flucos Itz-200mg Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Flucos Itz-200mg Tablet is a pregnancy category C drug and may cause harm to the unborn baby. However, if you are pregnant, planning for pregnancy or a nursing mother, it is advised to consult a doctor before using Flucos Itz-200mg Tablet. Do not take Flucos Itz-200mg Tablet if you have or had heart failure as it may cause severe life-threatening adverse effects. If you have kidney, liver, heart or lung problems, inform your doctor before taking Flucos Itz-200mg Tablet. Avoid taking fentanyl (a strong opioid narcotic medicine) with Flucos Itz-200mg Tablet as it may cause severe breathing problems and can even lead to death. If you experience numbness or tingling in your hands or feet, stop taking Flucos Itz-200mg Tablet and consult your doctor immediately as they might be symptoms of nerve damage.

Directions for Use

Tablet: Take it with food to avoid stomach upset or as advised by the doctor. Swallow the whole tablet with a glass of water. Do not break, crush or chew it. If you are taking any stomach acid suppressor or have achlorhydria (stomach does not produce hydrochloric acid), take Flucos Itz-200mg Tablet with cola. Oral suspension: Shake the bottle well before use and take it on an empty stomach at least 1 or 2 hours before meals as prescribed by your doctor with a measuring cup or spoon provided.

No, Flucos Itz-200mg Tablet is not recommended for use during pregnancy as it may cause harm to the fetus. Also, it is advised to use effective contraceptive measures while taking Flucos Itz-200mg Tablet and after 2 months of stopping treatment with Flucos Itz-200mg Tablet. However, please inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning for pregnancy or breastfeeding before taking Flucos Itz-200mg Tablet.

Flucos Itz-200mg Tablet may cause temporary or permanent hearing loss in some people. It is not necessary for everyone taking Flucos Itz-200mg Tablet to experience this adverse effect.
