Furamist AZ Nasal Spray is a combination of two drugs, namely: Fluticasone furoate (corticosteroid) and Azelastine hydrochloride (antihistamine/antiallergic). On the other hand, Azelastine hydrochloride works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions. Together, Furamist AZ Nasal Spray provides relief from allergic symptoms.
Use Furamist AZ Nasal Spray as advised by your doctor. Your doctor will recommend how often you need to take Furamist AZ Nasal Spray based on your medical condition. Some people may experience certain common side effects, such as headache, taste changes or nose bleeds. Furamist AZ Nasal Spray contains Fluticasone furoate and Azelastine hydrochloride. You are recommended to avoid consuming grapefruit and grapefruit juice with Furamist AZ Nasal Spray as they may lead to adrenal insufficiency and Cushing’s syndrome.
Furamist AZ Nasal Spray may cause drowsiness in some people, especially in people consuming alcohol with Furamist AZ Nasal Spray . Therefore, avoid driving if you feel drowsy after using Furamist AZ Nasal Spray .
You are not recommended to take more than the prescribed dose of Furamist AZ Nasal Spray or for a prolonged time as it may cause adverse effects such as changes in body fat (especially in the back, waist, neck and face), easy bruising, skin thinning, increased facial hair or acne, loss of interest in sex, impotence or menstrual problems. However, if you experience any of these symptoms while using Furamist AZ Nasal Spray , please consult a doctor immediately.
Furamist AZ Nasal Spray is not intended for the treatment of asthma attacks. Furamist AZ Nasal Spray is used to prevent allergic symptoms that can cause asthma. Therefore, it is recommended to carry a rescue inhaler always to treat asthma attacks.
You are not recommended to stop using Furamist AZ Nasal Spray without consulting your doctor as it may worsen the condition or cause recurring symptoms.
