Gabadot-AM Tablet 10's

Gabadot-AM Tablet 10's is a combination medicine used to treat neuropathic pain. Neuropathic pain is a chronic progressive nerve disease that causes nerve pain due to damaged sensory nerves. Symptoms include spontaneous, untriggered pain, unpleasant feeling, shooting, burning or stabbing pain, difficulty resting or sleeping and evoked pain (pain caused by events that are usually not painful). Gabadot-AM Tablet 10's may be used in the treatment of diabetic neuropathy, drug-induced neuropathy, alcoholic neuropathy, and trigeminal neuralgia.

Gabadot-AM Tablet 10's contains Gabapentin (anti-convulsant), mecobalamin (vitamin B12), and alpha-lipoic acid (antioxidant). Gabapentin modulates the calcium channel activity of the brain cells, thereby decreasing pain. Mecobalamin helps rejuvenate and protect damaged nerve cells by producing a substance called myelin. Alpha-lipoic acid helps provide a protective effect on the nerve tissues and the brain. Together, Gabadot-AM Tablet 10's helps provide relief from neuropathic pain caused due to nerve damage and other neurological disorders. 
 
Take Gabadot-AM Tablet 10's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as dizziness, sleepiness, tiredness, nausea and vomiting. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
 
Consult your doctor before starting Gabadot-AM Tablet 10's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Gabadot-AM Tablet 10's may cause drowsiness and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Limited information is available regarding the usage of Gabadot-AM Tablet 10's in children; please consult a doctor. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Gabadot-AM Tablet 10's as it could lead to increased dizziness and sleepiness. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medicines to rule out any side effects.

Do not take Gabadot-AM Tablet 10's if you are allergic to any of its contents. Inform your doctor before taking Gabadot-AM Tablet 10's if you have heart problems or bipolar syndrome, nervous system disorders, or are older than 65. Consult your doctor if you are on haemodialysis and experience muscle pain or weakness, persistent stomach pain, nausea or vomiting. Please do not stop taking Gabadot-AM Tablet 10's without consulting your doctor, as it could cause withdrawal symptoms. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Gabadot-AM Tablet 10's causes drowsiness and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Gabadot-AM Tablet 10's as it could lead to increased dizziness and sleepiness. Consult your doctor immediately if you experience suicidal tendencies. 

Drug-Drug Interaction: Gabadot-AM Tablet 10's may have interaction with hypnotics (zolpidem), antidepressants (escitalopram, fluoxetine), pain killers (hydrocodone, acetaminophen, tramadol), anti-histamine (cetirizine), muscle relaxant (cyclobenzaprine), anti-convulsant (pregabalin), anti-anxiety (alprazolam), anti-psychotic (quetiapine), and drugs used to treat opioid misuse (naloxone), anti-diabetic (metformin), antibiotic (chloramphenicol), and antacids (cimetidine, esomeprazole, pantoprazole, ranitidine).

Drug-Food Interaction: Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking Gabadot-AM Tablet 10's as it might cause increased dizziness and sleepiness.

Drug-Disease Interaction: Gabadot-AM Tablet 10's may have interactions with disease conditions, such as suicidal tendencies, renal dysfunction, and haemodialysis.

• Include cayenne pepper in your diet, as it can help in lowering neuropathic pain.
• Exercising regularly helps in improving overall health and combating pain. 
• Rest well, and get plenty of sleep.
• Try taking a warm bath, as it can be soothing. It helps in increasing blood circulation, thereby decreasing numbness and pain.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Meditation and yoga can help lower stress, decrease pain sensitivity and improves coping skills.
• Physical relaxation and massages can help provide symptomatic relief.
• Learn about sitting, stretching, moving, and standing techniques from a physical or occupational therapist. These can help prevent pain.
• Acupuncture can be helpful by stimulating pressure points.
• Using essential oils for massages can help increase circulation and boosts healing.

Close monitoring for suicidal thoughts/behaviour is required for people using Gabadot-AM Tablet 10's. 

Neuropathic pain: It is a nervous system disorder caused due to damaged sensory nerves. It is caused by chronic progressive nerve disease, or due to infection or injury. The pain could be intermittent or continuous, which is felt as a prickling, stabbing, tingling or burning sensation. A feeling of numbness and loss of sensations is also common with neuropathic pain. Usually, the body sends the pain signals when there is an injury, but with neuropathic pain, the pain is not triggered by an injury, the body unpromptedly sends the pain signals.
