About Haemaprot 1.4mg Infusion

Haemaprot 1.4mg Infusion belongs to the group of medicines called anti-fibrinolytic agents used to reduce bleeding during and after heart surgery. It is also used to lower the need for blood transfusion during and after heart surgery.
 
Haemaprot 1.4mg Infusion contains aprotinin that prevents bleeding by inhibiting the activation of coagulants.

Do not use Haemaprot 1.4mg Infusion if you are allergic to any of its components or if a positive aprotinin-specific IgG antibody test is available, indicating an increased risk of an allergic reaction to aprotinin. Inform the doctor if you have kidney problems or have/suspect you have received aprotinin or aprotinin-containing fibrin sealants in the last 12 months. Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Let the doctor know if you have any health condition or if you are taking any medications, including herbal products or vitamin/mineral supplements.
