About Libure 135mg Tablet

Libure 135mg Tablet is a class of medicines called 'antispasmodic' (spasm and cramps reliever) agent primarily used to treat inflammatory bowel syndrome (IBS), stomach pain due to spasms, cramps, and bloating. Inflammatory bowel syndrome is an umbrella term describing complications that involve chronic inflammation of your digestive tract. Besides this, abdominal spasms are acute condition in which the abdominal muscles (abs), intestine, and stomach contract severely.

Libure 135mg Tablet contains ‘Mebeverine’ that works by blocking calcium channels and muscarinic receptors on the smooth muscle, which cause muscle contraction and pain sensation, thereby stopping sudden muscle contractions (spasms) and reducing abdominal pain caused due by spasms, cramps, and gas formation, bloating, and discomfort.

You are advised to take Libure 135mg Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical conditions. In some cases, you may experience skin rash. Most of the side effects of Libure 135mg Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor. Please inform your doctor immediately if you experience difficulty in breathing, or swelling of the face, neck, lips, tongue, or throat.

If you are known to be allergic to Libure 135mg Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is advised to consult a doctor before using Libure 135mg Tablet. Libure 135mg Tablet is not recommended for children and adolescents below 18 years of age. Inform your doctor if you have porphyria (an enzyme deficiency in blood), heart, kidney, or liver problems, and severe constipation.  This medicine contains lactose and sucrose, so inform your doctor if you have an intolerance to any sugars. Let your doctor know if you use any prescription and non-prescription medications you are taking, including vitamins, before starting Libure 135mg Tablet.

Directions for Use

Take Libure 135mg Tablet 20-30minutes prior to food. Swallow Libure 135mg Tablet as a whole with a glass of water; do not chew or crush it. Depending on your medical condition, your doctor will decide how long you need to take Libure 135mg Tablet.

If you have had a history of acute porphyria (an enzyme deficiency in blood), heart disease, kidney disease, liver problems, and severe constipation, consult your doctor before taking Libure 135mg Tablet.  Let your doctor know if you use any prescription and non-prescription medications you are taking, including vitamins, and herbal drugs before starting Libure 135mg Tablet. This medicine contains lactose, so inform your doctor if you have an intolerance to any sugars. Libure 135mg Tablet also contains propylene glycol, which may cause alcohol-like symptoms, and the methyl parahydroxybenzoate which may cause delayed allergic reactions, mainly affecting the skin, inform your doctor immediately if you experience any allergic symptoms. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is advised to consult a doctor before using Libure 135mg Tablet. Libure 135mg Tablet is not recommended for children and adolescents below 18 years of age.
