Hypertension is a condition in which the force of blood against the artery walls is very high. It will be an addition to the workload of the heart and arteries.

Macsart CC 12.5 Tablet 10's is a combination of three drugs, namely: Chlorthalidone (diuretic), Cilnidipine (calcium channel blocker), and Telmisartan (angiotensin II receptor blocker). Chlorthalidone belongs to the class of diuretics (water tablets) that works by increasing the removal of excess water and certain salts such as sodium and potassium from the blood. This removal of water from blood reduces the fluid volume circulating through blood vessels and improves blood flow. Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker that acts on muscle cells in the artery walls and relaxes muscle cells. Thereby, it relaxes and widens arteries (blood vessels) and improves the blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart. Telmisartan works by blocking a hormone called angiotensin II in the body that causes the narrowing of blood vessels leading to high blood pressure. Thereby, Macsart CC 12.5 Tablet 10's widens and relaxes blood vessels. Thus, it lowers high blood pressure.

Take Macsart CC 12.5 Tablet 10's as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Macsart CC 12.5 Tablet 10's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience dizziness, headache, low blood pressure, stomach upset, or tiredness. • Maintain a low-salt diet and minimize eating processed foods as they contain more sodium. Try to replace salt with spices or herbs to add flavor to the food.
• Do regular exercise such as cycling, walking, jogging, dancing, or swimming for a minimum of 30 minutes per day.
• Chronic stress may also cause high blood pressure. Therefore, avoid stress by changing your expectations, reacting in certain situations, and doing activities that you enjoy by making time for yourself.
• Maintain a diet that is rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and low-fat dairy products.
• Try to include heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acid-containing foods in your daily diet. You can also use low-fat cooking oil like olive oil, soybean oil, canola oil, and coconut oil which may help in lowering high blood pressure.
• Quit smoking and avoid the consumption of alcohol.
