About MDS-O 200mg Tablet

MDS-O 200mg Tablet belongs to the group of anti-cancer medicines called demethylation agents indicated for continued treatment of acute myeloid leukaemia in adults who improved after chemotherapy but could not complete intensive curative therapy. Acute myeloid leukaemia is a type of cancer that forms in the blood-forming cells of the bone marrow.

MDS-O 200mg Tablet contains Azacitidine, which works by interfering with the growth of cancer cells, which are eventually destroyed by the body. It helps the bone marrow in the production of normal blood cells and kills abnormal cells in the bone marrow.

In some cases, MDS-O 200mg Tablet may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, fatigue and abdominal pain. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. Do not be reluctant to talk with your doctor if any of the side effects persist or worsen.

Do not use MDS-O 200mg Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Consult a doctor immediately if you become pregnant during treatment with MDS-O 200mg Tablet. This medicine is not recommended for children as safety and effectiveness have not been established. Inform your doctor about your health condition and medications to rule out any side effects/interactions.
