NIMORAZO L TABLET

NIMORAZO L TABLET belongs to the group of medicines called antiamoebics and antibiotics used to treat bacterial and parasitic infections such as amoebiasis, giardiasis, trichomoniasis, and acute ulcerative gingivitis.
 
NIMORAZO L TABLET contains Nimorazole, which damages the micro-organisms' DNA. Thereby, NIMORAZO L TABLET helps in treating infections. It has antibacterial activity against protozoa and anaerobic bacteria.
 
In some cases, NIMORAZO L TABLET may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, anorexia (eating disorder), and epigastric pain. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, consult a doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
 
Do not take NIMORAZO L TABLET if you are allergic to any of its components. NIMORAZO L TABLET is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and ongoing medications to rule out any side effects/interactions.

Inform the doctor if you have blood dyscrasias or active central nervous system diseases. A disulfiram-like reaction might occur with alcohol. Therefore, avoid alcohol consumption while on treatment with NIMORAZO L TABLET. Let the doctor know if you are taking any prescription/non-prescription medicines, including supplements or herbal products.

Amoebiasis: It is a parasitic infection of the colon caused by Entamoeba histolytica. It spreads through contaminated water. Symptoms include fever and bloody stools.

Giardiasis: It is an intestinal infection caused by giardia parasite. It spreads through contaminated food/water or by person-to-person contact. Symptoms might be watery diarrhoea alternating with greasy stools, fatigue, cramps, and belching wind.

Trichomoniasis: It is a sexually transmitted infection caused by parasites. Multiple sexual partners and unprotected sex are the risk factors.

Acute ulcerative gingivitis: It is a painful infection of the gums. Symptoms include bleeding, acute pain, and foul breath.
