NOCOLD PLUS TABLET is a combination medicine used to relieve symptoms of cold, flu and allergies such as the runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, nasal congestion, fever and blocked sinuses. The common cold is a respiratory illness that affects the nose and throat. It is mostly caused by a virus known as rhinovirus.
NOCOLD PLUS TABLET contains Paracetamol (Analgesic), Triprolidine (Antihistamine) and Pseudoephedrine (Decongestant). Paracetamol blocks the release of chemical messengers that cause pain and fever. Triprolidine reduces the effects of histamine, which causes watery eyes, runny nose and sneezing. Pseudoephedrine works by reducing the swelling of blood vessels in the nose. This helps you to breathe more easily. Together, NOCOLD PLUS TABLET helps in providing relief from cold symptoms.
Take NOCOLD PLUS TABLET as prescribed. You are advised to take NOCOLD PLUS TABLET for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, constipation and headache. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.
NOCOLD PLUS TABLET contains paracetamol, do not take any other products containing paracetamol along with NOCOLD PLUS TABLET unless prescribed. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. NOCOLD PLUS TABLET is not recommended for children below 4 years as safety and effectiveness have not been established. NOCOLD PLUS TABLET may cause dizziness, so drive with caution. Avoid consuming alcohol along with NOCOLD PLUS TABLET as it could cause increased dizziness. Do not take NOCOLD PLUS TABLET if you are allergic to any of its contents, if you are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors or have taken them in the last 14 days. NOCOLD PLUS TABLET contains paracetamol, do not take any other products containing paracetamol along with NOCOLD PLUS TABLET unless prescribed. Inform your doctor if you have asthma, COPD, blockage in the stomach or intestine, high blood pressure, enlarged prostate or urinary problems, glaucoma, diabetes, overactive thyroid, pheochromocytoma (tumour of the adrenal gland), heart, kidney or liver impairment. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. NOCOLD PLUS TABLET is not recommended for children below 4 years as safety and effectiveness have not been established. NOCOLD PLUS TABLET may be used to relieve allergic symptoms such as sneezing, runny/stuffy nose, throat irritation or watery eyes. NOCOLD PLUS TABLET contains Triprolidine, an antihistamine that works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions.
Dry mouth could be a side-effect of NOCOLD PLUS TABLET. Limiting caffeine intake, avoiding smoking and mouthwashes containing alcohol, drinking water regularly and chewing sugar-free gum/candy might stimulate saliva and prevent mouth drying.
NOCOLD PLUS TABLET may be used to relieve pain and fever. NOCOLD PLUS TABLET contains paracetamol, an analgesic (relieves pain) and antipyretic (reduces fever) that inhibits the production of certain chemical messengers in the brain known as prostaglandins which are responsible for pain and fever.
NOCOLD PLUS TABLET should not be taken for longer durations unless prescribed by the doctor. If your condition does not improve despite taking NOCOLD PLUS TABLET for a week, consult your doctor, he/she may prescribe an alternate medicine.
NOCOLD PLUS TABLET contains paracetamol, an analgesic used to relieve pain. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking any pain killer medicines, fever-reducing medicines, medicines for cold or sleeping problems along with NOCOLD PLUS TABLET.
