Onabet SD Solution 15 ml

Onabet SD Solution is a combination medicine used to treat skin infections caused by fungi. Fungal infection is a skin disease in which a fungus attacks the tissue and causes infection. The symptoms of a fungal infection include scaly skin, blisters, itching, swelling, irritation and redness. 
 
Onabet SD Solution contains Sertaconazole (anti-fungal) and Mometasone (corticosteroid). Sertaconazole works by preventing the formation of fungal protective covering, thereby stops their growth. Mometasone works by inhibiting the release of chemical messengers that cause inflammation and redness. Together, Onabet SD Solution helps in treating fungal skin infections.
 
In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as burning sensation, irritation, itching and redness at the site of application. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
 
Do not use Onabet SD Solution if you had a skin reaction or irritation to any steroid medicine. Consult your doctor before using Onabet SD Solution if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use Onabet SD Solution in more than prescribed doses or on a large area of skin for a longer duration unless advised by the doctor. Do not wrap or cover the treated area with a bandage unless your doctor advises.

Do not use Onabet SD Solution if you are allergic to any of its components. Inform your doctor if you have/had skin reaction or irritation to any steroid medicine; if you have glaucoma, diabetes, adrenal gland disorder, kidney or liver disease. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use Onabet SD Solution in more than prescribed doses or on a large area of skin for a longer duration unless advised by your doctor. 

• Regularly change your socks and wash your feet. Avoid shoes that make your feet sweaty and hot.
• In wet places such as changing rooms and gym showers, avoid walking barefoot to prevent fungal infections.
• Do not scratch the affected area of the skin, as it can spread the infection to other body parts.
• Avoid sharing towels, combs, bedsheets, shoes or socks with others.
• Wash your bedsheets and towels regularly.
• Avoiding getting in contact with harsh soaps, detergents and rough fabrics.

• Clean and dry the affected area before using Onabet SD Solution.
• Do not use Onabet SD Solution on dressing, band-aids and make-up unless told by the doctor.
• If Onabet SD Solution comes in contact with eyes, nose or mouth, rinse with water immediately.
• Wash your hands before and after using Onabet SD Solution; however, do not wash your hands if you are applying Onabet SD Solution on your hands.
• Do not apply Onabet SD Solution on wounds, cuts, damaged skin, or scrapes.
