MOMETASONE+SERTACONAZOLE is a combination medicine used to treat skin infections caused by fungi. Fungal infection is a skin disease in which a fungus attacks the tissue and causes infection. The symptoms of a fungal infection include scaly skin, blisters, itching, swelling, irritation and redness.
MOMETASONE+SERTACONAZOLE contains Sertaconazole (anti-fungal) and Mometasone (corticosteroid). Sertaconazole works by preventing the formation of fungal protective covering, thereby stops their growth. Mometasone works by inhibiting the release of chemical messengers that cause inflammation and redness. Together, MOMETASONE+SERTACONAZOLE helps in treating fungal skin infections.
In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as burning sensation, irritation, itching and redness at the site of application. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
