Pregulate Injection 5 ml belongs to a group of medicines called gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogues indicated in infertility treatment. Besides this, it can also used to treat endometriosis. Infertility is a condition in which a woman cannot become pregnant even after having carefully timed, unprotected sex for a year. Endometriosis is a painful disorder in which the tissue that generally lines the endometrium (inside the uterus) grows outside the uterus.

Pregulate Injection 5 ml contains Buserelin, a synthetic version of the hormone that naturally occurs in the body. It works by stopping the production of natural hormones that control ovulation. Synthetic hormones are then used to stimulate ovulation artificially. Pregulate Injection 5 ml helps relieve symptoms of endometriosis by reducing the production of female sex hormones by acting on the pituitary gland.

You are advised to use Pregulate Injection 5 ml for as long as your doctor prescribes it, depending on your medical condition. Sometimes, Pregulate Injection 5 ml may cause side effects like diarrhoea, constipation, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and headache. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to the doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Avoid using Pregulate Injection 5 ml if you are pregnant, think you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have abnormal menstrual bleeding. Consult your doctor immediately if you become pregnant while on treatment with Pregulate Injection 5 ml. This medicine may cause dizziness, drowsiness or blurred eyesight; do not drive if you experience these symptoms. Inform your doctor about your health condition and medications to rule out any side effects/interactions.

Pregulate Injection 5 ml helps relieve symptoms of endometriosis by reducing the production of female sex hormones by acting on the pituitary gland.

Do not use Pregulate Injection 5 ml if you are allergic to any of its components, if you have abnormal menstrual bleeding, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Stop using Pregulate Injection 5 ml and consult the doctor immediately if you become pregnant while on treatment with Pregulate Injection 5 ml. Pregulate Injection 5 ml is not intended for use in men. Inform the doctor if you have depression, high blood pressure, diabetes, polycystic ovarian disease, heart/blood vessel conditions, heart rhythm problems, metabolic bone disease or risk factors for osteoporosis like smoking, chronic alcohol abuse, a family history of osteoporosis, or if you are on long-term treatment with corticosteroids or anticonvulsants. Stop using Pregulate Injection 5 ml and consult a doctor immediately if you experience symptoms of serious side effect called ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, such as diarrhoea, weight gain, difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, passing less urine, feeling sick or being sick, pain, swelling or a feeling of tension in your stomach. Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome is more likely to occur if you are taking other hormones along with Pregulate Injection 5 ml as a part of infertility treatment. Consult the doctor straight away if you notice bruising more easily than usual, signs of infections (fever, sore throat or mouth ulcers), severe headache, eyesight problems, or high blood pressure (crushing chest pain, problems with eyesight, confusion, tiredness and an uneven heartbeat).

• Include fibrous foods, iron-rich foods, foods rich in essential fatty acids, and anti-oxidant-rich foods in the diet.
• Practice meditation and yoga. 
• Avoid or limit caffeine intake.
• Include healthy fruits and vegetables in your diet.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Try relaxation therapy. Read a book or listen to soothing music.
• Exercise moderately.
• Do yoga or meditation, as it helps relieve stress.

• Menopausal symptoms like hot flushes, increased sweating, dry vagina, decreased interest in sex

• The use of this medicine may lead to positive results in doping tests. Additionally, misuse as a doping agent may harm your health.
• Pregulate Injection 5 ml might affect certain blood test results; particularly, it may affect the levels of liver enzymes and fats in the blood shown in blood tests. Therefore, if you are undergoing any tests, inform the doctor that you are on treatment with Pregulate Injection 5 ml.
• Regular monitoring of blood pressure and blood glucose levels is advised.
• Women are recommended to have a pregnancy test to make sure they are not pregnant before using Pregulate Injection 5 ml.

Endometriosis: Endometriosis is a painful disorder in which the tissue that generally lines the endometrium (inside the uterus) grows outside the uterus. Endometriosis usually occurs when the endometrial tissue grows on the ovaries, pelvis lining, and fallopian tubes. Symptoms include pelvic pain, painful periods, pain in the abdomen during and before menstruation, heavy menstrual bleeding, discomfort during bowel movements, lower back pain during menstruation, pain during sexual intercourse, and cramps 1-2 weeks around menstruation.
