About Pulmosil Suspension

Pulmosil Suspension belongs to the group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE 5) inhibitors primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (impotence) in adult men. However, it helps the person to get an erection only if he is sexually stimulated. Erectile dysfunction is the inability to keep a hard and erect penis suitable for sexual activity. In some cases, Pulmosil Suspension is also used to treat pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs).

Pulmosil Suspension contains Sildenafil and sodium benzoate. Sildenafil works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis, thereby allowing the blood to flow into the penis when the person is sexually excited. Sodium benzoate acts as a preservative.

Take Pulmosil Suspension as prescribed by a doctor. You are advised to take Pulmosil Suspension for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience common side effects such as headache, nausea, dizziness, blurred vision, indigestion and stuffy nose. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

To treat your condition effectually, continue taking Pulmosil Suspension for as long as your doctor has prescribed it. Try not to stop taking it on your own. Avoid the consumption of alcohol, as it may impair your ability to get an erection. If you take Pulmosil Suspension with any nitrate medicine, your blood pressure could suddenly drop to a life-threatening level. So avoid intake of Pulmosil Suspension with nitrates. Pulmosil Suspension does not cure erectile dysfunction in males but treats erectile dysfunction. Pulmosil Suspension does not protect you or your partner from getting sexually transmitted diseases, including AIDS.
