Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S belongs to a class of medicines known as 'cardiovascular agents' primarily used to prevent heart attack and stroke, especially in patients after bypass heart surgery. A heart attack occurs when a blood clot blocks the blood flow to the heart. This blockage of arteries is often an accumulation of fat, cholesterol and other substances, which form a plaque in the arteries that feed the heart (coronary arteries).
Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S is composed of three medicines, namely: Aspirin, clopidogrel, rosuvastatin. Aspirin and clopidogrel together act as a blood-thinning agent (or anti-platelet agent) to prevent heart attack and stroke. They help to prevent blood clots by preventing the clubbing of platelets together. Rosuvastatin belongs to the class of drugs known as a cholesterol-lowering agent which works by blocking liver enzymes, causing the liver to make less cholesterol. Rosuvastatin lowers the bad cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein or LDL) levels and increases good cholesterol levels (high-density lipoprotein or HDL) in the bloodstream. Thus, Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S helps in the free flow of blood without forming any clog in the blood vessel's arteries, thereby preventing a heart attack, stroke and other peripheral vascular diseases.
Take Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. You may experience increased bleeding tendency, indigestion, abdominal pain, nosebleeds, weakness, muscle pain, headache, diarrhoea, gastrointestinal bleeding and nausea. Most of these side effects of Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
Try not to stop taking this medicine of your own. Stopping Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S may worsen your condition and increase the risk of a future heart attack. Let your doctor know if you are allergic to Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S or any ingredients of Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S. Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S should not be taken in the conditions like kidney/liver diseases, asthma, active bleeding issues (like peptic ulcer, brain haemorrhage), gastrointestinal disorders, diabetes and musculoskeletal disorder. If you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding, it is essential to seek medical advice before starting Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S. Do not drive or operate machinery if you experience dizziness or drowsiness while using Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S. Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S is not recommended for children below the age of 16 years.
Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S is used to prevent myocardial infarction (heart attack), stroke or peripheral vascular disease. It also lowers abnormally elevated cholesterol or fat levels (dyslipidemia) in the body. Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S is composed of three medicines, namely: Aspirin, clopidogrel, rosuvastatin. Aspirin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) and anti-platelet drug that decreases blood clot formation by preventing the platelets from clubbing together. It is also used in heart-related revascularization procedures (provision of new blood supply to a body part), such as coronary artery bypass graft to improve the blood flow through the revascularized area. Clopidogrel acts by preventing blood clots if you have severe chest pain (unstable angina or heart attack), stroke and peripheral arterial disease (heart problem due to narrow veins). Rosuvastatin is an antilipemic agent (cholesterol-lowering). It works by blocking liver enzymes, causing the liver to make less cholesterol. It also lowers the bad cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein or LDL) levels and increases good cholesterol levels (high-density lipoprotein or HDL) in the blood. Rosuvastatin reduces the risk of coronary events, such as heart attack, stroke and angina (chest pain).
Before taking Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S, let your doctor know if you have a history of liver and kidney diseases or allergic reactions to Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S. If you are at risk of internal bleeding (bleeding inside any tissues, organs, or joints of your body), a recent injury/surgery or a planned surgery (including dental) in the next few days, blood clotting disorder and active bleeding issues (like peptic ulcer, brain hemorrhage), please inform your doctor before starting Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S. It is important to tell your doctor if you have any kidney/liver diseases, asthma, gastrointestinal disorders, diabetes, musculoskeletal disorder or mental illnesses like memory loss, forgetfulness, amnesia, memory impairment and confusion before using Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S. Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S may have harmful effects on the baby when a pregnant mother uses it. Also, salicylates in Aspirin of Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S can pass into the breast milk and cause rashes and bleeding issues in infants. If you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding, it is essential to seek medical advice before starting Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S. Avoid using other over the counter medications, herbal or vitamin supplements without medical advice.

Drug-Food Interactions: Limit alcohol intake since it may cause a rise in blood pressure leading to heart diseases. Avoid fatty foods to help control your cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Caffeine may have minor interactions with Aspirin in Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S.
Drug-Disease Interactions: Qrovas Gold Capsule 10'S is contraindicated in the liver, kidney diseases, active bleeding disorders, asthma, gastrointestinal bleeding disorders, diabetes, musculoskeletal disorder (myopathy) and viral infections.
Heart attack: It occurs when a blood clot blocks the blood flow to the heart. This blockage of arteries is often an accumulation of fat, cholesterol and other substances, which form a plaque in the arteries that feed the heart (coronary arteries). During a heart attack (myocardial infarction), the blood supply which nourishes the heart with oxygen is cut off. Heart attack signs include chest pain, upper body pain, sweating, nausea, fatigue and trouble breathing.
Stroke: It occurs when a blockage of blood supply to a part of the brain prevents brain tissues from getting enough oxygen and nutrients.
Angina: It is a type of heart-related chest pain which occurs due to reduced or blocked blood flow to the heart. This is a common sign and symptom of coronary artery disease in which arteries get clogged due to the deposition of an excessive amount of cholesterol in the heart's arteries.
