About Ryaltris-AZ Nasal Spray

Ryaltris-AZ Nasal Spray is primarily used to treat symptoms of allergic rhinitis. It relieves sneezing, itching, runny/stuffy nose, and other nasal allergy symptoms. Allergic rhinitis is inflammation and allergy of the nose caused by an allergen, such as pollen, dust, mould, or skin flakes from certain animals.

Ryaltris-AZ Nasal Spray contains Azelastine and Mometasone. Azelastine is an antihistamine medicine that inhibits histamine release from mast cells. Histamines are chemical messengers released due to an allergic response in the body and cause allergies like runny nose, sneezing, and itchy eyes. Mometasone is a corticosteroid that blocks prostaglandins' production (chemical messengers) that cause inflammation. Thereby, it provides relief from sneezing and runny or blocked nose.

Your doctor will advise on how often you use Ryaltris-AZ Nasal Spray based on your medical condition. Some common side effects include headache, nosebleeds, nasal discomfort, sneezing, runny nose, itchy skin around the nose, cough, dry mouth, throat pain, bitter taste, drowsiness, and tiredness. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. Although not all of these side effects may occur, they may need medical attention if they do occur.

Please do not use this medication without consulting your doctor if you have any heart, liver or kidney diseases or allergic reactions to medicines. It is advised to check with your doctor before using Ryaltris-AZ Nasal Spray if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Uses of Ryaltris-AZ Nasal Spray

Directions for Use

Nasal spray: Your doctor may advise you to prime the bottle before the first usage by pressing and releasing the shoulders of the bottle down a few times or until a fine mist comes out of the nasal applicator. Close one nostril by gently pressing on that side of your nose. Now, insert the nasal applicator of the spray bottle into the other nostril. Press down on the shoulders of the nasal applicator with your forefinger and middle finger by placing your thumb at the bottom of the bottle as support. Breathe deeply through that nostril as the medication is being released. Breathe out through your mouth. Repeat the same in another nostril if required. Wipe the nasal applicator with a clean tissue and replace the cap after every use.
