AZELASTINE+MOMETASONE
About
AZELASTINE+MOMETASONE is primarily used to treat symptoms of allergic rhinitis. It relieves sneezing, itching, runny/stuffy nose, and other nasal allergy symptoms. Allergic rhinitis is inflammation and allergy of the nose caused by an allergen, such as pollen, dust, mould, or skin flakes from certain animals.
AZELASTINE+MOMETASONE contains Azelastine and Mometasone. Azelastine is an antihistamine medicine that inhibits histamine release from mast cells. Histamines are chemical messengers released due to an allergic response in the body and cause allergies like runny nose, sneezing, and itchy eyes. Mometasone is a corticosteroid that blocks prostaglandins' production (chemical messengers) that cause inflammation. Thereby, it provides relief from sneezing and runny or blocked nose.

Some common side effects include headache, nosebleeds, nasal discomfort, sneezing, runny nose, itchy skin around the nose, cough, dry mouth, throat pain, bitter taste, drowsiness, and tiredness. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. Although not all of these side effects may occur, they may need medical attention if they do occur.
