About Segarelix 120 mg Injection

Segarelix 120 mg Injection belongs to the group of medicines called gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptor antagonists indicated in the treatment of advanced prostate cancer. Prostate cancer is a cancer that occurs in the man’s prostate, a male reproductive gland.
 
Segarelix 120 mg Injection contains Degarelix, a synthetic hormone blocker which works by decreasing the amount of testosterone and helps to stop or slow the spread of prostate cancer cells that require testosterone for their growth.
 
In some cases, Segarelix 120 mg Injection may cause side effects such as injection site reaction and hot flushes. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, if any of the side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor.

Segarelix 120 mg Injection belongs to the group of medicines called gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptor antagonists indicated in the treatment of adult male patients with prostate cancer and high-risk prostate cancer before radiation therapy and in combination with radiotherapy. Segarelix 120 mg Injection contains Degarelix, a synthetic hormone blocker which works by decreasing the amount of testosterone and helps to stop or slow the spread of prostate cancer cells that require testosterone for their growth. Thereby, it helps treat prostate cancer.

  • Apply a hot/cold pack to the affected area.
