About Sintrim 15 mg Tablet

Sintrim 15 mg Tablet belongs to the class of medication called anti-obesity drugs used to treat obesity and help lose weight. Sintrim 15 mg Tablet is recommended for obese patients with an initial body mass index (BMI) ≥ 30 kg/m2 or ≥ 27 kg/m2 in the presence of other risk factors (e.g., dyslipidemia or Abnormally elevated cholesterol or fats, diabetes, controlled hypertension). Sintrim 15 mg Tablet should be used along with a low-calorie diet and regular physical exercise. Obesity is a medical condition caused by excess body fat, making a person overweight and predisposing them to many conditions and disorders. Intake of more calories than you burn by exercise or daily activities results in obesity.

Sintrim 15 mg Tablet contains Sibutramine which causes weight loss by suppressing the appetite and promoting energy expenditure.

Take Sintrim 15 mg Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Sintrim 15 mg Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your condition. Some people may experience dry mouth, headache, loss of appetite, trouble sleeping, and constipation. Most of these side effects of Sintrim 15 mg Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist, please consult your doctor.

Sintrim 15 mg Tablet is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Sibutramine or any of the inactive ingredients in it. Sintrim 15 mg Tablet is contraindicated in patients receiving monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or other centrally acting weight loss drugs. It is recommended not to use in patients with a major eating disorder (anorexia nervosa or bulimia nervosa). The use of Sintrim 15 mg Tablet during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended. The efficacy of Sibutramine in adolescents who are obese has not been adequately studied. The concomitant use of Sintrim 15 mg Tablet and excess alcohol is not recommended.

If you have an allergy to any ingredient in Sintrim 15 mg Tablet , it is advised that you avoid using it. While taking Sintrim 15 mg Tablet , women who are sexually active should use effective contraception. Patients should be instructed to inform their doctor immediately if they get pregnant or plan to get pregnant while taking Sintrim 15 mg Tablet . Sibutramine or its metabolites may be excreted in human milk; however, this is unknown. Therefore, using Sintrim 15 mg Tablet while breastfeeding is not advised. Since there is little knowledge on utilizing Sintrim 15 mg Tablet in teens, it is advised against doing so. Inform your doctor about your medical history and the other drugs you are currently taking before taking Sintrim 15 mg Tablet to rule out any possible side effects or interactions.

Diet & Lifestyle Advise

  • Maintain a low-fat diet. Prefer skim milk and fat-free or low-fat dairy products.
