SIRILEPT 25MG TABLET belongs to a group of medicines called anti-psychotics used to treat schizophrenia. It may also be used to treat psychosis and other similar conditions. Schizophrenia is a medical condition in which the person may feel, hear or see things that are not there, believe things that are not true, or feel unusually suspicious or confused. 
 
SIRILEPT 25MG TABLET contains Zotepine, which works by modulating the action of chemical messengers in the brain which affect thoughts. Thereby, it helps treat schizophrenia.
 
In some cases, SIRILEPT 25MG TABLET may cause side effects like dry mouth, drowsiness, weight gain, sweating, and movement disorders. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, talk to the doctor if any of the side effects persist or worsen.
 
Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not drive or operate machinery as SIRILEPT 25MG TABLET may cause drowsiness and blurred vision. Avoid alcohol consumption as it may cause increased drowsiness. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medicines to rule out any side effects/interactions.

Do not take SIRILEPT 25MG TABLET if you are allergic to any of its components. Inform the doctor if you have epilepsy, urinary retention, diabetes, glaucoma, acute gout, Parkinson’s disease, prostate problems, heart, kidney or liver problems. Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid consuming alcohol while on treatment with SIRILEPT 25MG TABLET as it could lead to increased drowsiness. Let the doctor know if you are taking prescription/non-prescription medicines, including herbal products and vitamin/mineral supplements.
