About TALECELM PLUS TABLET

TALECELM PLUS TABLET belongs to the class of medications called ‘antidepressants' primarily used for the treatment of depression, which is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. Depression is also called a major depressive disorder or clinical depression, it affects how you feel, think and behave and can lead to various emotional and physical problems.

TALECELM PLUS TABLET contains a combination of two medicines called alprazolam and fluoxetine. Alprazolam is a benzodiazepine (BZD) that increases the action of GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid), a chemical messenger that suppresses the abnormal activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Fluoxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) that increases serotonin levels, a chemical messenger that improves mood.

Take this TALECELM PLUS TABLET in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, crush or break it. TALECELM PLUS TABLET may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. TALECELM PLUS TABLET may cause common side effects like nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, confusion, memory impairment, drowsiness, tiredness, low sexual desire, and uncoordinated body movements. These side effects do not require any medical attention and resolve on their own. If any of these effects persist, contact your doctor immediately.

If you are known to be allergic to TALECELM PLUS TABLET or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Do not take TALECELM PLUS TABLET if you are pregnant or breastfeeding as it may cause adverse effects in the baby. Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, closed-angle glaucoma, cardiac diseases, bleeding disorders, epilepsy and electro-convulsive therapy before taking TALECELM PLUS TABLET. Also, inform your doctor about diabetes and pulmonary insufficiency before taking TALECELM PLUS TABLET.
