About Tericox Capsule
Tericox Capsule belongs to the group of 'anti-tuberculosis drugs' primarily used to treat pulmonary (infection in the lungs) and extrapulmonary (infection at other sites of the body) tuberculosis. Tericox Capsule is a second-line drug and is used only when first-line drugs cannot be used. Tuberculosis is an infectious disease that primarily affects the lungs, but it can also spread to other body parts, such as kidneys, brain, spine, and bone marrow.
Tericox Capsule contains 'Terizidone' that belongs to the class of 'antimycobacterial.' It is bacteriostatic (stops bacterial growth) and works by preventing the cell wall synthesis in bacteria that cause tuberculosis.
Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of Tericox Capsule based on the severity of your disease. Common side effects of Tericox Capsule include confusion, difficulty in sleeping, headache, dizziness, slurred speech, depression, convulsions (fits), and tremor (shakiness). These side effects are not familiar to everyone and vary individually. If you notice any side effects that are not manageable, please consult your doctor.
If you are known to be allergic to Tericox Capsule or its inactive components, please inform your doctor. Your doctor may suggest vitamin B6 and folic acid supplements while using Tericox Capsule . Inform your doctor beforehand if you have a history of liver or kidney diseases, heart problems, anxiety, depression, and fits. It is essential to let your doctor know if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or a breastfeeding mother. Do not consume alcohol while using Tericox Capsule .
