About TITROL OINTMENT 20GM

TITROL OINTMENT 20GM belongs to the class of a vitamin D analogue indicated for the topical treatment of mild to moderate plaque psoriasis in adults and children two years of age and older. Plaque psoriasis is the most common form of psoriasis. It causes dry, itchy, raised skin patches (plaques) covered with scales.

TITROL OINTMENT 20GM contains the active substance calcitriol. It works by lowering the activity of immune cells in the skin and helps to inhibit the formation of excess skin cells that can stack up and create scales on the skin.

Some may experience common side effects like itching, redness, stinging sensation, dryness and rash. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. If these side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.

Brief your medical history to the doctor if you are allergic to calcitriol or its components. Inform your doctor before using TITROL OINTMENT 20GM if you are pregnant, want to become pregnant, or are currently nursing. Please let your doctor know if you have a history of liver or kidney disease, hypercalcaemia (high calcium levels in the blood), or hypervitaminosis D.
