About Trulicity 0.75 mg Injection

Trulicity 0.75 mg Injection belongs to the class of anti-diabetic drugs primarily used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease that causes high blood sugar levels. It occurs when the insulin (a hormone produced by the beta cells of the pancreas) is resistant in breaking the glucose to produce energy (insulin resistance) or the pancreas produces little or no insulin at all.

Trulicity 0.75 mg Injection contains Dulaglutide that belongs to the class of ‘incretin mimetics’. Dulaglutide works by increasing insulin release from the pancreas during high blood sugar levels (after meals) and decreasing the amount of sugar the liver makes. Trulicity 0.75 mg Injection also prevents the risk of heart diseases in type 2 diabetes patients.

Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of Trulicity 0.75 mg Injection based on your medical condition. Some common side effects of Trulicity 0.75 mg Injection include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, decreased appetite, stomach pain, constipation, and feeling tired. GLP-1 receptor agonist diabetes medications are not recommended for people who have a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or who have Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN2).

Trulicity 0.75 mg Injection is contraindicated in patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (cancer inside thyroid gland) and in patients with Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (tumors in the thyroid, parathyroid glands, and adrenal glands).

Store the unused Trulicity 0.75 mg Injection in a refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C protected from the light. You may also store Trulicity 0.75 mg Injection at room temperature of 15°C to 30°C for up to 14 days before use. Do not freeze Trulicity 0.75 mg Injection. Do not use Trulicity 0.75 mg Injection if it is frozen.
