Vcandi Gel is an antifungal medicine used to treat infections caused due to fungi and yeast. It is mainly used in the treatment of vaginal infections, such as vaginal candidiasis. It is a fungal infection of the vagina and tissues at the opening of the vagina vulva. Symptoms may include irritation, discharge and intense itchiness of the vagina and the vulva tissues at the vaginal opening.
Vcandi Gel contains Tioconazole, which blocks certain enzymes essential for the growth of infectious organisms (fungi/yeast).
Vcandi Gel may cause common side effects like application site reactions such as burning, irritation, itching, redness, and vaginal pain. The side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. Vcandi Gel is a topical preparation. It should be applied as advised by your doctor.
Vcandi Gel should be avoided if you are allergic to it. Tell your doctor about your complete medication history, including prescription and non-prescription drugs you are using, including vitamins and herbal products. It is for vaginal use only. Before applying Vcandi Gel, inform your doctor if you are diabetic, have a weak immune system, have an HIV infection, have a vaginal infection often once a month/ 3-6 months, or any other serious underlying medical condition. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

Avoid Vcandi Gel if you are allergic to it or any other medicines of the same class. Before using Vcandi Gel, inform you if you are using any steroid medications, if you have diabetes, a weak immune system, HIV infection, or any other serious medical conditions. This medicine is for vaginal use only. Do not apply Vcandi Gel in the nose, eyes, or mouth. In case of accidental contact, rinse with plenty of water. If the vaginal infection doesn’t improve or worsen after the course of treatment, inform your doctor immediately. Try to avoid applying any other vaginal products unless advised by your doctor. Do not start treatment with Vcandi Gel during menstruation, as the medicament of Vcandi Gel will be washed off with blood flow. The treatment should be finished before the onset of menstruation. Do not use tampons, vaginal douches, spermicide or other vaginal products while using Vcandi Gel. Vcandi Gel is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age.

Vcandi Gel contains Tioconazole, which works by stopping the growth of infective organisms by interfering with the DNA replication process and reducing the infection.
Use Vcandi Gel in a dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. However, if the condition does not improve, consult your doctor immediately after using Vcandi Gel for four weeks.
If you miss a dose, apply the medication as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and apply the next dose of medication at the regular time.

Vaginal fungal infection (vaginal candidiasis): It is a fungal infection of the vagina and tissues at the opening of the vagina vulva. The vagina naturally contains a balanced mix of yeast, including candida and bacteria. An overgrowth of candida or penetration of the fungus into deeper vaginal cell layers causes infection. Symptoms include itching and irritation in the vagina and vulva, a burning sensation, especially during intercourse or while urinating, redness and swelling of the vulva, vaginal pain and soreness, vaginal rash, thick, white, odour-free vaginal discharge with a cottage cheese appearance, watery vaginal discharge.
