Vencobal-Plus Capsule is a combination medication used in the treatment of neuropathic pain. Neuropathic pain is a chronic progressive nerve disease that causes nerve pain due to damage of sensory nerves. Symptoms include spontaneous, untriggered pain, unpleasant feeling, shooting, burning or stabbing pain, difficulty resting or sleeping and evoked pain (pain caused by events that are usually not painful). Vencobal-Plus Capsule may be used in the treatment of diabetic neuropathy, drug-induced neuropathy, alcoholic neuropathy, and trigeminal neuralgia.

Vencobal-Plus Capsule is a combination of four drugs: Alpha-lipoic acid (anti-oxidant), folic acid (vitamin), methylcobalamin and pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6). Methylcobalamin and Pyridoxine hydrochloride help in the rejuvenation and protection of damaged nerve cells by producing a substance called myelin. Alpha-lipoic acid helps in providing a protective effect on the nerve tissues and brain. Folic acid helps in providing essential nutrients to the nerves. Together, Vencobal-Plus Capsule helps in providing relief from neuropathic pain.

You are advised to take Vencobal-Plus Capsule for as long as your physician has suggested it for you depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as nausea, headache, vomiting and heartburn. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your physician if you experience these side effects persistently.

Consult your physician before starting Vencobal-Plus Capsule if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Vencobal-Plus Capsule is not recommended for children as safety and efficacy have not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Vencobal-Plus Capsule as it could lead to unpleasant side effects. If you are due to undergo any surgery, inform your doctor that you are taking Vencobal-Plus Capsule . Exercise caution while using Vencobal-Plus Capsule with anti-tumour drugs, antibiotics, chemotherapy, anti-diabetic drugs, thyroid hormone and blood thinners.

• Load up on oily fish, egg yolks, spinach, broccoli, salmon and orange juice as these are natural sources of minerals and vitamins. 
• Include cayenne pepper in your diet as it can help in lowering neuropathic pain.
• Exercising regularly helps in improving overall health and combating pain. 
• Rest well, get plenty of sleep.
• Try taking a warm bath as it can be soothing.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Meditation and yoga can help lower stress, decrease pain sensitivity and improve coping skills.
• Acupuncture can be helpful by stimulating pressure points.
• Using essential oils for massages can help increase circulation.

• In case you miss a dose of Vencobal-Plus Capsule , skip it and resume when it is time for the second dose only. Do not ever take a double dose.
• It is very difficult to overdose on Vencobal-Plus Capsule however, if you accidentally take extra doses of Vencobal-Plus Capsule , please inform your physician or go to a hospital immediately. Some of the common symptoms of an overdose can be nausea, constipation, feeling sick, dizziness, mood changes, loss of appetite and headache.

Neuropathic Pain: Neuropathic pain is caused due to damage sensory nerves. It is caused by chronic progressive nerve disease or due to infection or injury.
