Y Doxime LV 200mg/250mg Tablet belongs to the group of antibiotics medication used to treat bacterial infections of the lungs (pneumonia), sinus (sinusitis), bladder (cystitis), ear infections, etc. Bacterial infections are caused by the growth of dangerous bacteria within or on the body. Infectious or toxic bacteria can make you sick and reproduce swiftly in your body. These dangerous bacteria release toxins, destroying tissue and making you sick. Y Doxime LV 200mg/250mg Tablet is ineffective against viral diseases such as colds and flu.

Y Doxime LV 200mg/250mg Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Cefpodoxime Proxetil and Levofloxacin. Cefpodoxime Proxetil inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis and leads to cell death, thereby killing the bacteria. On the other hand, Levofloxacin works by interfering with a bacterial enzyme involved in repairing and replicating bacteria's DNA (genetic material).
