About ZO DROPS 5ML
ZO DROPS 5ML belongs to the class of medicines called antibiotics used to treat bacterial eye infections including conjunctivitis and ulcers of the cornea. Conjunctivitis (pink eye) is a common bacterial eye infection associated with the inflammation or infection of the conjunctiva (white part of the eye) and the inner eyelid.
ZO DROPS 5ML contains Ofloxacin which works by inhibiting DNA gyrase (bacterial enzyme) involved in repairing and replicating the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria. Thereby, kills bacteria and clears infection.
Use ZO DROPS 5ML as prescribed by your doctor. ZO DROPS 5ML is only for use in eyes. You are advised to use ZO DROPS 5ML for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience dry eyes, blurred vision, eye discomfort, eye redness, mild itching, or irritation in the eye. Most of these side effects of ZO DROPS 5ML do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
If you are allergic to ZO DROPS 5ML or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. ZO DROPS 5ML should be used for children only in doses as advised by the doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before using ZO DROPS 5ML. Diet & Lifestyle Advise
- Sleep for a minimum of 6 to 8 hours to rejuvenate your eyes naturally.
- Wash your eyes with clean water at least two to three times a day. Do not wash your eyes if you have undergone any eye surgery for at least 2 weeks.

ZO DROPS 5ML works by inhibiting DNA gyrase (bacterial enzyme) involved in repairing and replicating the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria. Thereby, kills bacteria and clears the infection.
You are not recommended to wear contact lenses while using ZO DROPS 5ML as it contains benzalkonium chloride, a preservative that changes the colour of contact lens as it may be absorbed by soft contact lens. Benzalkonium chloride also causes irritation in the eye especially if you have disorders of cornea (transparent layer at the front of eye) or dry eyes. Therefore, you are advised to remove contact lenses before using ZO DROPS 5ML and reinsert them after 15 minutes after using ZO DROPS 5ML. Also, inform your doctor if you experience pain, stinging or abnormal sensation in the eye after using ZO DROPS 5ML.
ZO DROPS 5ML may cause temporary blurred vision immediately after using. Therefore, you are recommended to wait until your vision is clear before driving or operating machinery.
ZO DROPS 5ML is not used to treat fungal infection in the eye. ZO DROPS 5ML is only used to treat bacterial eye infections.
You are not recommended to stop using ZO DROPS 5ML without consulting your doctor as it may worsen the infection. Therefore, use ZO DROPS 5ML for as long as your doctor has prescribed it and if you experience any difficulty while using ZO DROPS 5ML, please consult your doctor.
