About Dolokind Gel
Dolokind Gel belongs to a class of medications called 'topical analgesic' (pain killer) primarily used to relieve joint pain, low back pain, muscle sprain, and sports injuries. Besides this, it also reduces pain and swelling in muscles and joints in the conditions of joint disorders like osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Arthritis is a condition that causes swelling of one or more joints resulting in pain and stiffness of joints that worsen over time.
Dolokind Gel is a combination of three painkillers/analgesics (Diclofenac, Capsaicin, Methyl salicylate) and one cooling agent (Menthol). Diclofenac and Methyl salicylate belongs to the class of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) or pain killers that works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain responsible for causing pain and symptoms of inflammation such as redness and swelling. Capsaicin is an analgesic that works by affecting the chemical messenger in the brain (neurotransmitter) that transmits pain signals to the brain thereby reducing the perception of pain. Menthol acts as a cooling agent that relieves pain initially by cooling the skin followed by warming it up. This action of cooling and warming up distracts from the pain and helps in improving blood circulation.
Dolokind Gel is only for external use. Use Dolokind Gel as advised by the doctor. Avoid contact of Dolokind Gel with nose, ears, mouth, or eyes. In case Dolokind Gel comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. Your doctor will advise you on how often you use Dolokind Gel based on your medical condition.
