Mego-XL Capsule 15's belongs to the class of 'Vitamins', primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies and neuropathic pain. Mego-XL Capsule 15's may be used in the treatment of diabetic neuropathy, drug-induced neuropathy, alcoholic neuropathy, and trigeminal neuralgia. Neuropathic pain is a chronic progressive nerve disease that causes nerve pain due to damaged sensory nerves. A nutritional deficiency occurs when the body does not absorb or get enough nutrients from food.

Mego-XL Capsule 15's is a combination of four drugs: Alpha-lipoic acid (anti-oxidant), folic acid (vitamin), methylcobalamin and pyridoxine (vitamin B6). Methylcobalamin and Pyridoxine help in the rejuvenation and protection of damaged nerve cells by producing a substance called myelin. Alpha-lipoic acid helps in providing a protective effect on the nerve tissues and brain. Folic acid helps in providing essential nutrients to the nerves. Take Mego-XL Capsule 15's as prescribed by the doctor. Your doctor will decide the dosage and duration based on your medical condition. Sometimes, Mego-XL Capsule 15's may cause common side effects like nausea, stomach upset, and vomiting. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

• Try Vitamin B complex food sources like milk, cheese, eggs, liver, kidney, chicken, red meat, tuna, mackerel, salmon, shellfish, oysters, clams, dark green vegetables, such as spinach and kale, beets, avocados, potatoes, whole grains, cereals, kidney beans, black beans, and chickpea.
• Try folate-rich food sources like broccoli, Brussels sprouts, leafy green vegetables, cabbage, kale, spring greens, spinach, peas, chickpeas, kidney beans, and breakfast cereals fortified with folic acid.
• Sprinkle sunflower seeds over your food, vegetables, and salads. 
• Include fruits like citrus, banana, and watermelon in your diet.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Exercise regularly and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Avoid excess fatty foods.

• Clinical monitoring of folic acid, B12, and B6 levels through blood examinations is recommended. 
• Let your doctor and the laboratory staff know that you are using Mego-XL Capsule 15's since Pyridoxine may interfere with laboratory tests like urine tests for urobilinogen. 

Neuropathic Pain: Neuropathic pain is caused due to damaged sensory nerves. It is caused by chronic progressive nerve disease or due to infection or injury. The pain could be intermittent or continuous, which is felt as prickling, stabbing, tingling or burning sensation. A feeling of numbness and loss of sensations is also common with neuropathic pain. Symptoms include spontaneous, untriggered pain, unpleasant feeling, shooting, burning or stabbing pain, difficulty resting or sleeping, and evoked pain (pain caused by events that are usually not painful).
