Relyte Rtu Oral Solution may increase the risk of hyperkalemia (high level of potassium in the blood). Relyte Rtu Oral Solution should be avoided in patients with or at risk for hyperkalemia.
Relyte Rtu Oral Solution should be used with caution in patients with impaired glucose tolerance. Regular monitoring of blood sugar levels is advised.
The risk for hyponatremia is increased in elderly, paediatric patients, postoperative patients and patients who are taking drugs which may increase the risk of hyponatremia. Close clinical monitoring in such patients is advised.
Consult your doctor before taking corticosteroids or corticotropin as it may increase the risk of sodium fluid retention.
