Speedral New Capsule 15's is a health supplement used to treat anemia (lack of blood) due to iron deficiency and chronic kidney disease. Also, Speedral New Capsule 15's is used to treat iron-deficiency anaemia during pregnancy. Anaemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen required to various body tissues.

Speedral New Capsule 15's is a combination of three drugs, namely: Folic acid (a form of vitamin B9), Ferric pyrophosphate (iron supplement) and Glycine (amino acid). Ferric pyrophosphate and folic acid work by increasing red blood cells (RBC) and haemoglobin (a protein) production in the body. As a result, an adequate number of RBCs are produced in the body, so each tissue gets a sufficient supply of oxygen. Glycine is an amino acid used to synthesise proteins in the body.

Drug-Drug Interaction: Speedral New Capsule 15's may have interaction with anticonvulsants (phenobarbital, primidone, phenytoin, sodium valproate, carbamazepine), antibiotics (chloramphenicol, cotrimoxazole, trimethoprim), antimanic drug (lithium), water tablet (triamterene), anti-inflammatory drug (sulfasalazine), painkillers (aspirin), anticancer drug (methotrexate).

Drug-Food Interaction: Avoid intake of dairy products, coffee, or tea with Speedral New Capsule 15's at the same time as they may reduce the absorption of Speedral New Capsule 15's.

Drug-Disease Interaction: If you have high blood pressure, liver problems, hemochromatosis (excessive iron in the body), vitamin B12 deficiency, pernicious anemia (anemia due to lack of vitamin B12), or folate-dependent tumor, inform your doctor before taking Speedral New Capsule 15's.

• Avoid consumption of alcohol.

Avoid taking Speedral New Capsule 15's along with dairy products, coffee, tea or alcohol.
