Sepsis: It is a life-threatening illness caused by the body's response to an infection. Sepsis occurs when chemicals released in the blood to fight infection trigger inflammation in the body. This may lead to a cascade of changes that damage multiple organ systems, leading them to fail, sometimes even resulting in death. Symptoms may include low blood pressure, chills, dizziness, fatigue, fever, flushing, low body temperature, shivering, fast breathing, shortness of breath, etc.

Pancreatitis: Pancreas play an important role in the digestion of food. It produces enzymes which help in the breakdown of food and absorption of nutrients. Swelling of the pancreas is referred to as pancreatitis. It may be of sudden onset, or it may develop as a chronic condition. Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. Alcoholics are more prone to this condition.
