Avof OZ Oral Suspension belongs to the group of medicines called antibiotics used to treat urinary tract infections, bacterial infections by inflammation of the peritoneum, eye and ear infections, skin and soft tissue infections, sexually transmitted infections, respiratory infections, vaginal infections, protozoan infections, intra-abdominal infections, and infections during surgical procedures. It is also indicated in the treatment of diarrhoea of mixed infections in adults. Avof OZ Oral Suspension is a combination of two antibiotic drugs, namely: Ofloxacin and Ornidazole. Ofloxacin inhibits DNA gyrase which is required for the replication, transcription, and repair of the DNA. Ornidazole inhibits protein synthesis and leads to cell death, thereby kills the bacteria. Together, Avof OZ Oral Suspension helps in treating bacterial infections. Avof OZ Oral Suspension is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.

It is recommended to complete the course of Avof OZ Oral Suspension even if you feel better as it is an antibiotic, and leaving it in between may lead to even severe infection. To treat your condition effectually, continue taking Avof OZ Oral Suspension for as long as your doctor has prescribed it.
Co-administration of magnesium and aluminium-containing antacids, sucralfate, and iron-containing preparations with Avof OZ Oral Suspension may reduce the absorption. Therefore, you are advised to take Avof OZ Oral Suspension two hours before such preparations.
Do not take Avof OZ Oral Suspension on your own as self-medication may lead to antibiotic-resistance in which antibiotics fail to act against specific bacterial infections.
Consult your doctor before taking Avof OZ Oral Suspension if you have diabetes, as Avof OZ Oral Suspension may cause hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar levels). Regularly monitor blood sugar levels while taking Avof OZ Oral Suspension to avoid unpleasant events.
