About Amlodac M Tablet 15's

Amlodac M Tablet 15's belongs to the group of antihypertensive agents used to treat high blood pressure/hypertension and angina pectoris. High blood pressure is a condition in which the blood exerts increased pressure on the walls of blood vessels. Angina is basically a pain in the heart and chest.

Amlodac M Tablet 15's contains Metoprolol succinate and Amlodipine. Metoprolol succinate works by slowing down the heart rate, thereby making it more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Amlodipine relaxes the blood vessels, thereby improving blood flow. Together, Amlodac M Tablet 15's helps treat high blood pressure.

Take Amlodac M Tablet 15's as prescribed. In some cases, Amlodac M Tablet 15's may cause certain common side effects such as tiredness, dizziness, headache, ankle swelling and slow heart rate. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if these side effects persist or worsen.

Medicinal Benefits

Amlodac M Tablet 15's is a combination antihypertensive medication containing Metoprolol succinate and Amlodipine. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that decreases blood pressure by preventing the influx of calcium ions into cells and by enlarging and relaxing arteries. In addition, Amlodac M Tablet 15's also reduces the oxygen demands of the heart, relaxing the heart and blood vessels and requiring the heart to do less work.
