Cifinil-O Tablet 10's is indicated in the treatment of gastrointestinal infections, urinary tract infections, otitis media (infection of the middle ear), meningitis (inflammation of the meninges), SSTI (skin and soft tissue infections), pneumonia, typhoid fever, post-operative surgery infections, and septicemia (blood poisoning caused by bacteria).
 
Cifinil-O Tablet 10's is a combination of three drugs, namely: Cefixime, ofloxacin, and lactic acid bacillus. Cefixime works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering, which is necessary for the survival of the bacteria. Ofloxacin prevents the bacteria from repairing and reproducing. Thus, kills the bacteria. Lactic acid bacillus is a probiotic that helps restore the balance of good bacteria in the gut, which may have gotten upset due to the infection. Together, Cifinil-O Tablet 10's helps in treating bacterial infections. 
 
Take Cifinil-O Tablet 10's as prescribed. The dose and duration of Cifinil-O Tablet 10's can vary depending on your condition and the severity of the infection. In some cases, Cifinil-O Tablet 10's may cause certain common side-effects such as nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, flatulence, and indigestion. • Antibiotics can alter the useful bacteria in the stomach, which help in digestion. Therefore, you are advised to take foods rich in probiotics such as yoghurt/curd, kefir, sauerkraut, tempeh, kimchi, miso, kombucha, buttermilk, natto, and cheese.
• Eat fibre-rich food like whole grains, beans, lentils, berries, broccoli, peas, and bananas.
• Avoid foods rich in calcium, grapefruit, and grapefruit juice as they might hinder the absorption of antibiotics.
• Avoid consumption of alcohol and usage of tobacco.

• Cifinil-O Tablet 10's might affect blood and urine tests. Inform the person doing the tests that you are taking Cifinil-O Tablet 10's.
• If you are due to undergo surgery or dental procedure, inform the doctor that you are taking Cifinil-O Tablet 10's.
