About Dubinor PM Capsule

Dubinor PM Capsule is a combination medication indicated for the management of neuropathic pain. Neuropathic pain is a chronic progressive nerve disease that causes nerve pain due to nerve damage or a malfunctioning nervous system. Symptoms of neuropathic pain include shooting, burning pain followed by tingling and numbness (loss of sensation). Neuropathic pain can be caused due to amputation of limbs, diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage due to excess blood sugar level), excessive alcohol intake (alcoholism) and cancer treatment via chemotherapy.

Dubinor PM Capsule contains Pregabalin (anticonvulsant), Methylcobalamin (vitamin B12), Alpha-lipoic acid (antioxidant), Pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), and Folic acid (vitamin B9). Pregabalin affects the chemicals in the brain that send pain signals to the nervous system, thereby relieving nerve pain and lowering the risk of seizures (fits). Methylcobalamin and Pyridoxine hydrochloride help in the rejuvenation and protection of damaged nerve cells by producing a substance called myelin. Alpha-lipoic acid helps in providing a protective effect on the nerve tissues and the brain. Folic acid helps in delivering essential nutrients to the nerves. Together, Dubinor PM Capsule provides relief from neuropathic pain.

Use Dubinor PM Capsule as prescribed by your doctor. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as dizziness, sleepiness, tiredness, nausea, and vomiting. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Please do not stop taking Dubinor PM Capsule without consulting your doctor, as it could cause withdrawal symptoms. Consult your doctor before starting Dubinor PM Capsule if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Dubinor PM Capsule may cause drowsiness and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Dubinor PM Capsule as it could lead to increased dizziness and sleepiness. Dubinor PM Capsule should not be given to children as safety and effectiveness have not been established.

  • Inform your doctor about dizziness symptoms. They may adjust your medication regimen or prescribe additional medications to manage symptoms.
  • Follow your doctor's instructions for taking medication, and take it at the same time every day to minimize dizziness.
  • When standing up, do so slowly and carefully to avoid sudden dizziness.
  • Avoid making sudden movements, such as turning or bending quickly, which can exacerbate dizziness.
  • Drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated and help alleviate dizziness symptoms.
  • If you're feeling dizzy, sit or lie down and rest until the dizziness passes.
  • Track when dizziness occurs and any factors that may trigger it, and share this information with your doctor to help manage symptoms.
  • Wear compression garments like stockings, sleeves, or gloves to apply pressure and help stop fluid from building up, especially after the swelling goes down.
  • Move around and do exercises to help the fluid circulate, especially in swollen limbs. Ask your doctor for specific exercises.
  • Raise the swollen area above your heart level several times a day, even while sleeping, to help reduce swelling.
  • Gently massage the swollen area with firm but not painful pressure.
  • Keep the swollen area clean and moisturized to prevent injury and infection.

Disease/Condition Glossary

Neuropathic pain: It is a nervous disorder that occurs due to nerve damage caused by chronic progressive nerve disease, limb amputation, diabetes or due to infection or injury. The pain could be intermittent or continuous, felt as a prickling, stabbing, tingling or burning sensation. A feeling of numbness and loss of sensation is also common with neuropathic pain. Usually, the body sends the pain signals when there is an injury, but with neuropathic pain, the pain that is not triggered by an injury, the body sends the pain signals unpromptedly. Symptoms include spontaneous, un-triggered pain, unpleasant feeling, shooting, burning or stabbing pain, difficulty resting or sleeping, and evoked pain (pain caused by events that are usually not painful).
