About Puribact 600mg Tablet

Puribact 600mg Tablet belongs to a class of drugs known as 'antibiotics' used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It helps treat infections of the urinary tract, tonsils, sinus, nose, throat, female genital organ, skin and soft tissues, and lungs (pneumonia). A bacterial infection is a condition in which bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can target any body part and multiple very quickly. Puribact 600mg Tablet does not treat infections caused by virus-like flu or a common cold.

Puribact 600mg Tablet contains 'Prulifloxacin' used to treat bacterial infections. The bactericidal action of Puribact 600mg Tablet results from interference with the enzyme DNA gyrase which is needed for the synthesis of bacterial DNA (genetic material). Prulifloxacin is efficacious against Gram-negative bacteria. It also has enhanced activity against Gram-positive bacteria, including MRSA and Streptococcus pneumoniae.

Dairy products should be avoided along with Puribact 600mg Tablet. And also, exposure to sunlight should be avoided while taking Puribact 600mg Tablet as it may cause increased phototoxicity or photosensitivity.  Do not take Puribact 600mg Tablet on your own as self-medication may lead to antibiotic-resistance in which antibiotics fail to act against specific bacterial infections.
