Tropivent L Respules (2.5ml Each) belongs to the class of medications called bronchodilators used to treat or prevent symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), such as shortness of breath, coughing, and wheezing (whistling sound while breathing). COPD is a lung disorder that includes emphysema (breathing problems caused by a damaged air sac) and chronic bronchitis (inflammation and narrowing of the lining of airways or bronchial tubes).

Tropivent L Respules (2.5ml Each) contains Ipratropium and Levosalbutamol. Tropivent L Respules (2.5ml Each) works by relaxing muscles and widening the airways of the lungs. Thereby, it allows to breathe easily and provides relief from the symptoms of COPD such as coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath.

Your doctor will advise the dosage and duration of Tropivent L Respules (2.5ml Each) based on your medical condition. Headache, sore throat, dry mouth, runny or stuffy nose, cough with mucous, sneezing, chest tightness, dizziness, nervousness, weariness, irregular heartbeats, and vomiting are the possible side effects. Most of the side effects of Tropivent L Respules (2.5ml Each) do not require medical attention and fade away with time. Please visit your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Do not use Tropivent L Respules (2.5ml Each) in more than the prescribed doses as it may lead to severe heart or lung problems. Regular monitoring of potassium levels is recommended while taking Tropivent L Respules (2.5ml Each) for a prolonged time as it may cause low potassium levels in the blood. If you have high blood pressure, diabetes fits, enlarged prostate, glaucoma, thyroid or heart problems, bladder obstruction or other urinary problems, inform your doctor before taking Tropivent L Respules (2.5ml Each).

• Consume potassium-rich foods such as tomatoes, bananas, asparagus, oranges, potatoes, avocados, dark leafy greens, and beetroots because potassium is essential for lung function and a potassium deficiency can cause breathing problems.
• Drink plenty of fluids every day to thin mucus and make coughing easier.
• Consume complex carbohydrates such as lentils, beans, barley, oats, quinoa, bran, peas, and potatoes with skin.
• Limit or avoid caffeinated beverages such as tea, coffee, soda, and energy drinks such as Red Bull.
• Consume protein-rich foods like meat, fish (especially salmon, sardines, and mackerel), eggs, and poultry.
• Exercise on a regular basis to strengthen your breathing muscles and strengthen your immune system. Learning breathing exercises will assist you in moving more air into and out of your lungs.
• Quit smoking because it can reduce the effectiveness of the Tropivent L Respules (2.5ml Each) and irritate the lungs, exacerbating the breathing problem.

• Avoid contact of Tropivent L Respules (2.5ml Each) with eyes, especially if you have glaucoma (damaged eye nerve due to increased eye pressure), as it may worsen the condition and cause eye irritation or blurred vision.
• Fungal infections might occur in your mouth and throat, so it is advisable to gargle with warm water after each inhalation of Tropivent L Respules (2.5ml Each).
