Tuscopan 10mg Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called anti-spasmodic agents used to relieve abdominal and irritable bowel syndrome pain, cramps, and discomfort. It may also be used for diagnostic and therapeutic medical procedures where spasms might be a problem, such as gastroduodenal endoscopy, and to produce smooth muscle relaxation prior to radiological procedures like pyelography.
Tuscopan 10mg Tablet contains ‘Hyoscine butylbromide’ that stops muscle contractions by relaxing the muscles in the stomach, intestine, and bladder. Thereby providing relief from cramps, discomfort, and pain.
Take Tuscopan 10mg Tablet as prescribed. In some cases, Tuscopan 10mg Tablet may cause side-effects such as dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, abnormal/reduced sweating, and fast heart rate. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Tuscopan 10mg Tablet may interact with anti-emetic (domperidone, metoclopramide), bronchodilator (salbutamol), anti-arrhythmic (quinidine, disopyramide), anti-Parkinson (amantadine), anti-cholinergic (tiotropium, ipratropium), anti-psychotic (haloperidol, fluphenazine), opiate analgesic (codeine), anti-depressant (amitriptyline), and antihistamines.
