Fixi-AB-Plus Tablet contains Cefixime (cephalosporin antibiotic), ofloxacin (fluoroquinolone antibiotic), and lactic acid bacillus (probiotic). Fixi-AB-Plus Tablet is indicated in the treatment of gastrointestinal infections, urinary tract infections, otitis media (infection of the middle ear), meningitis (inflammation of the meninges), SSTI (skin and soft tissue infections), pneumonia, typhoid fever, post-operative surgery infections, and septicemia (blood poisoning caused by bacteria). Cefixime prevents the formation of bacterial cell covering, which is necessary for the survival of the bacteria. Ofloxacin prevents the bacteria from repairing and reproducing. Thus, kills the bacteria. Lactic acid bacillus helps restore the balance of good bacteria in the gut, which may have gotten upset due to the infection. It also helps reduce the gastrointestinal side effects occurring due to antibiotics. Together, Fixi-AB-Plus Tablet helps in treating bacterial infections.

Do not be reluctant to speak with your doctor if you experience any difficulty whilst taking Fixi-AB-Plus Tablet .

Fixi-AB-Plus Tablet is less likely to cause diarrhoea as it contains lactic acid bacillus, a probiotic which helps in restoring the balance of good bacteria in the gut which may have gotten upset due to infection. However, if you experience diarrhoea, drink plenty of fluids and eat non-spicy food. Consult your doctor if you have severe diarrhoea.

Do not take Fixi-AB-Plus Tablet on your own as self-medication may lead to antibiotic resistance in which antibiotics fail to act against specific bacterial infections. Take Fixi-AB-Plus Tablet only if prescribed by the doctor.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and take the scheduled dose instead. Avoid taking a double dose.
