LIPRUFLOX TABLET belongs to the group of medicines called fluoroquinolone antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections, including infections of the urinary tract, tonsils, sinus, nose, throat, sexually transmitted infections, soft tissue infection and lungs (pneumonia). LIPRUFLOX TABLET contains Prulifloxacin, the prodrug of ulifloxacin, is a broad-spectrum activity with bactericidal action (kills bacteria) that works by preventing synthesis of enzymes, namely DNA gyrase and Topoisomerase IV, which is essential for growth and survival of the bacterial cell.
