About Diltra 50 mg/300 mg/300 mg Tablet 30's

Diltra 50 mg/300 mg/300 mg Tablet 30's belongs to a group of antiretroviral medicines indicated for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults and children weighing at least 35kgs. HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that attacks the immune system and destroys the white blood cells that help in fighting infection, making the individual susceptible to other infections or illnesses.

Diltra 50 mg/300 mg/300 mg Tablet 30's contains Dolutegravir (integrase inhibitor), Lamivudine (nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor), and Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor). Dolutegravir increases the immune cells that help fight infections in the body and decreases the amount of HIV in the blood. Lamivudine and Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate work by interfering with the working of nucleotide and nucleoside reverse transcriptase enzymes which are necessary for the reproduction of the virus. Together, Diltra 50 mg/300 mg/300 mg Tablet 30's helps in treating HIV infection.

You are advised to take Diltra 50 mg/300 mg/300 mg Tablet 30's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as fatigue, diarrhoea, headache, pain, rash, depression, fever, cough, and insomnia. Disease/Condition Glossary

HIV infection: HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that attacks the immune system and destroys the white blood cells that help in fighting infection, making the individual susceptible to other infections or illnesses. People with HIV experience flu-like symptoms such as fever, chills, rash, night sweats, muscle aches, tiredness, and sore throat. These symptoms usually last for days to several weeks. It spreads through body fluids such as semen, vaginal fluid, and blood. If left untreated, this condition can lead to AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome). It is a life-long condition, and there is no definite cure for it. However, it can be controlled by treating with antiretroviral drugs.
