About Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet

Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet belongs to a group of antiretroviral medicines indicated for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults and children weighing at least 35kgs. HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that attacks the immune system and destroys the white blood cells that help in fighting infection, making the individual susceptible to other infections or illnesses.

Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet contains Dolutegravir (integrase inhibitor), Lamivudine (nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor), and Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor). Dolutegravir increases the immune cells that help fight infections in the body and decreases the amount of HIV in the blood. Lamivudine and Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate work by interfering with the working of nucleotide and nucleoside reverse transcriptase enzymes which are necessary for the reproduction of the virus. Together, Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet helps in treating HIV infection.

You are advised to take Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as fatigue, diarrhoea, headache, pain, rash, depression, fever, cough, and insomnia. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Practise safe sex and other necessary precautions as Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet does not prevent the spread of HIV infection. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy. Avoid breastfeeding while taking Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet. Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet may cause dizziness, so drive with caution. Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet is not recommended for children weighing below 35 kg.
