About Isonit Plus Tablet 10's

Isonit Plus Tablet 10's belongs to a group of heart-related medicines called 'vasodilators used to treat heart failure. Heart failure occurs when the heart muscle does not pump blood normally, including shortness of breath, swollen legs, fatigue and increased heartbeat. In this condition, the heart becomes too weak and cannot pump enough blood and oxygen to the organs and tissues of our body. 

Isonit Plus Tablet 10's is a fixed-dose combination composed of two medicines: Isosorbide dinitrate and Hydralazine. Isosorbide dinitrate is a group of drugs known as nitrates that relax the heart's muscles and widen the heart's veins and arteries for easy flow of blood to every part of our body. It is used to treat angina (chest pain) and other heart-related diseases due to a shortage of oxygen and blood. Hydralazine belongs to a group of drugs known as vasodilators which help lowers raised blood pressure by relaxing and widening the heart's muscles. 

Isonit Plus Tablet 10's is available in the form of oral tablets. Take Isonit Plus Tablet 10's as your doctor has prescribed it. Doses of the Isonit Plus Tablet 10's will decide by your doctor, but generally, start with low doses and increase the amount. In some cases, Isonit Plus Tablet 10's can cause side effects like headache, nausea, dizziness, and lightheadedness (feeling faint). Most of these side effects of Isonit Plus Tablet 10's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if these side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.

If you are known to be allergic to Isonit Plus Tablet 10's or any other medicines, please inform your doctor. Before taking Isonit Plus Tablet 10's, let your doctor know if you have had a heart attack within the last 30 days, low blood pressure, stroke (inadequate blood supply in the brain that causes damage to the brain), or high pressure within the brain. Please do not stop taking Isonit Plus Tablet 10's on your own, which may lead to the recurrence of symptoms or worsen the condition.

Drug Warnings

Do not take Isonit Plus Tablet 10's if you have low blood pressure because even a low dose of Isonit Plus Tablet 10's may produce low blood pressure. If you are pregnant or planning any pregnancy, let your doctor know about this before taking Isonit Plus Tablet 10's as it crosses the placenta and can affect the unborn baby (fetus). Do not drive by using this Isonit Plus Tablet 10's because it produces dizziness that may cause an accident. You may experience tingling or numbness, so your doctor may prescribe a vitamin B6 supplement (pyridoxine). Hydralazine passes into breast milk, so its use in lactating mothers should be avoided.
