About Nograin 20mg/500mg Tablet

Nograin 20mg/500mg Tablet is a combination medicine used for the symptomatic treatment of migraine, and any medical condition with concomitant nausea/vomiting and fever/pain. Migraine is a neurological condition that can cause severe throbbing pain or a pulsing sensation, usually on one side of the head, eyes, face, and neck. Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, difficulty speaking, numbness or tingling, and sensitivity to light and sound.

Nograin 20mg/500mg Tablet is a combination of two drugs, namely: Domperidone and Paracetamol. Domperidone prevents nausea and vomiting symptoms by blocking certain receptors (like dopamine and serotonin) that stimulate the vomiting centre (chemoreceptor trigger zone –CTZ) located in the brain. It also acts as a prokinetic agent that increases the upper gastrointestinal tract's motility and helps in decreasing the stomach emptying time. Paracetamol is an NSAID that works by blocking the effect of a chemical messenger in your body, known as cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that make another chemical ‘prostaglandins’(PG). These prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling. By blocking the effect of COX enzymes, lesser PGs are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site.

Take Nograin 20mg/500mg Tablet as prescribed. Your doctor will recommend how often you take Nograin 20mg/500mg Tablet based on your medical condition. Some people may experience some side effects, dry mouth, skin rash, anxiety, diarrhoea, and drowsiness.
